Everyone has been running around for the last three weeks trying to secure theirs. The release date has been pushed back numerous times. All this has lead to the most hyped radio control helicopter of all time. And now, the wait is finally over.

We've already received our first round of Blade SRs. And, unsurprisingly, they were sold out before they arrived. But now we have more shipping, and four of them are unspoken for.

So, if you want the most talked about helicopter in the hobby industry, drop what you're doing. Pick up the phone, or hop in the car. Any way you can, get in touch with us here at Roger's Hobby Center, and we'll set one aside for you. But if you don't act fast, you'll miss your opportunity to get yours. So hurry in, because they're going to go quick!

Happy February!

Happy February! I hope everyone’s having a great year so far. I know that the year started out with a bang for us here. Hopefully it continues to get better. With your help, I know it will!

Well, there are a few announcements to make. First of all, the Ultra Micro J-3 Cub has shown up! Right now, we have only the Ready-to-Fly versions in stock, and the Bind-N-Fly® are still backordered until late this month. When we get some in, we’ll post it here. In the mean time, though, the Ready-to-Fly Cub looks pretty cool, and it’s not too bad at only $119.99! It uses the same style batteries as all the other Ultra Micro products from E-Flite and Parkzone, so all of your current batteries and chargers will work with it. Should be a blast at the Ryder Center.

We recently sponsored and took part in the fourth annual Hobby Fair by Hemmeter Elementary School here in Saginaw. We were set up in the gym, and flew our helicopters and airplanes around for a few hours for the kids – exposing the hobbies to them. It was a blast, as always, and a rewarding experience as well. We even took our simulator display over there – that was the highlight of our booth! We took a few pictures – hopefully the principal, Ron Helmer, will share the ones he took with us. You can view the pictures here. We look forward to participating in the Hobby Fair again next year, if they still have it!

Well, that’s about it for now. Remember, if you have any questions or comments for us, you can stop by our Facebook page, direct message us on Twitter, shoot us an e-mail, or give us a call. And we’d love to see you in the store.

Thank you, as always, for being a customer.

That means you should pick up a new plane or two! Get one now, and you'll have time to set it up before the next indoor event. And we've got a couple new foamy planes in for all you indoor fliers.

First, from the same folks that brought you the Yak 54 foamy, Great Planes' ElectriFly brand has come out with their rendition of an Extra 330SC. This ARF features carbon fiber spars, and 3M Blenderm hinges (both are pre-installed!).The ailerons and elevator control surfaces also feature air brakes that extend below the wing, providing stability in many 3D maneuvers. As of this writing, we have two of them in stock, selling for $49.99

We also have the semi-new Ultra Micro P-51 from ParkZone back in stock. This Bind-N-Fly plane comes with a DC charger, 120mAh lipo battery, and double AA batteries. Just add a Spektrum, Parkzone, or E-Flite 2.4Ghz transmitter, and you've got control of the most popular airplane of WWII. If you're looking for a fast, indoor warbird, this plane is going to be the one you want. Right now, we have one in stock, selling for $99.99.

And many of you have been waiting for this little guy. E-Flite's Micro 4-Site has begun to ship! Right now, only the Bind-N-Fly planes are available, but the Plug-N-Play version should be available within the next couple of weeks. The Bind-N-Fly edition comes with the Celectra 4-Port Charger with AC power supply, two 150mAh batteries, and, of course, the airplane itself. All you need is a Spektrum, ParkZone, or E-Flite 2.4Ghz transmitter. We currently have two Bind-N-Fly Micro 4-Site Airplanes in stock, selling for $169.99. The Plug-N-Play version will sell for $109.99.

So when you're ready for a new flying experience, keep us in mind. We're always getting new things in as the become available. And don't forget - your special orders are always welcome.

We'll see everyone February 21st - hopefully we'll see a few of these planes in the air!

In the uncertainty, we here at Roger's Hobby Center took it upon ourselves to secure the bus and hammer out the details, unsure if we could pull it off. Those fears were put to rest with the response we got from you fine folks. Now, thanks to last year's success, I can tell you that we're doing it again this year; the 2010 Weak Signals Bus Trip is a go!

Flyers are getting mailed out today, along with registration forms. If you weren't on the trip last year, I don't have your mailing address. But that's okay - because this year, we have a website. You can visit our Toledo Trip 2010 website to view the itinerary, download the flyer & registration forms, and see any changes or updates to the trip. I'll be constantly updating it, at least as much as new information allows. Of course, you can also stop into the store and pick up a flyer too.

The cost for the trip is unchanged from last year: $52 gets you there and back again, as well as paying for your admission into the show. The wonderful folks that run the show have once again extended a special admission price for bus trips, and we're taking full advantage. While we can't accept payment through the website at this time, you can mail your registration & payment into us, or call your reservation & payment into us. See the flyer for full details and payment types accepted.

If you're unfamiliar with the Toledo Show, you can see what all it entails at the official Weak Signals Toledo Show website. Plenty of manufacturers, including Horizon Hobby, Great Planes, Sig, Midwest, Sullivan, Dubro, and many more show up. There is also a large swap shop on the upper level of the convention center. The show also boasts beautifully made model airplanes, cars, and boats, displayed down the center aisle of the show floor.

So, come and enjoy the show without the hassles of driving down and finding a parking spot. Chat with fellow R/C enthusiast on the trip, watch R/C airplane videos on the bus' video system. Come join us for a great way to spend a Friday.

I know, it's been a while since I've updated our front page... or any of the website for that matter. We've been focused on activities here in the store so much that we've neglected our poor website. But I'm here to change that.

It's been, admittedly, a slow month. But we're continuing to hang in there; we are committed to riding out this whole recession thing and get back to the business of hobbies, better than ever. At least, that's the plan. :)

The season's first Ryder Center Indoor Flying event went off without a hitch. It was a great four hours of flying for those that came out. There was a pretty good turnout, but a few notable people were missing. Hopefully, those that couldn't make it for the first one can come out for the next one on the schedule, November 22nd. And remember, if you need the dates for the events, you can find them here.

I managed to snag a few pictures while I was there, and you can view them here. It took a while for me to crop them and get them down to size; I took over 80 images. These are the best of the bunch. Hope you like them!

The beginning of the month means new coupons, and if you're looking for an indoor micro flyer, you're in luck! If you buy any one of select E-Flite and Parkzone products, you'll get an additional battery for FREE! But you have to present the coupon, so don't forget to print it out before you stop in. And if you're not into helis or airplanes, don't worry. There's a generic merchandise coupon up as well. You can fetch those coupons by clicking here.

We haven't been all that active on our YouTube channel, but don't let that fool you. Keep an eye on it in the coming months; we have big plans for it.

And, as always, don't forget to follow us on Facebook. We're always happy to have more fans!

Thanks for hanging in there with us. You guys really make it easy to enjoy my job, and it's a blessing to be surrounded by such wonderful people.

See ya in the store.

That means school already started back up, the leaves will be changing color soon, and the indoor flying season starts. In that vein, the dates for the indoor flying events at the Ryder Center have been posted. You can find them here, or click on "Upcoming Events" in the Resources tab. We plan on being present for most of the events, just as we were last year. We look forward to the upcoming season.

And what better way to get prepared for the season than getting a new Triton Jr battery charger from ElectriFly? It's our Deal of the Week this week. But check back often; the deal changes every week!

Those that check this site often will know that on Saturday, September 26th, Roger and I packed up the slot car table, a train set, and a couple of radio control helicopters and headed over to Barnes & Noble for the afternoon in an event Barnes & Noble called "For Dads and Lads: Planes, Trains, & Automobiles". The event went quite well. We had the helis flying in the store, and the slot car track went over big time. You can see the pictures we took here, in the "Photos" section of our website.

We're on YouTube! We have a YouTube channel now. At the moment, we only have one video up, but there will be more in the future.

And finally, for those that have been using our coupons, thank you! But I just want to remind you all that the current batch of coupons expire at the end of this month. But don't worry, we'll have new ones then the old ones come down.

Thanks for reading this mass of words. I appreciate you stopping by, and I hope to see you in the store sometime soon.

Seize the day. Get a hobby.

They'll be working the Make-N-Take table: where anyone can build a plastic snap together model and take it home... for free! And you'll have the help and assistance of the model club members, so just about anyone can get a great looking model.

In addtion to the Make-N-Take, we'll have radio control helicopters flying around, a working slot car track (if we can get it out the door!) and possibly a train layout. Plus videos and displays, and much more!

If you have the time, stop by Barnes & Noble on Saturday, September 26th from 1:00pm through 3:00pm in the afternoon.

Hopefully we'll see you there!
