Why aren't there prices on our product pages?

Unfortunately, prices change. A lot, actually. We found that it was hard to keep up with the ever-changing market and have our website be always up-to-date. We didn't want to have the wrong price on our website - that's worse than no price at all. So we decided to remove the pricing from the items.

This also helps elevate the conversation. Now it's easier to look for the item you want, rather than the item you can afford right this moment. In the thirty years we've been in business, we've learned that people are happier when they get what they want instead of settling. So if you find a truck, boat, helicopter, or airplane that you like, we encourage you to call us or stop in and find out what it costs, and if it's not in your budget right now, save up until it is. Buyer's remorse is a terrible feeling - one we'd like you never to feel in our store.

The Traxxas Rustler has been a great seller for us over the years. The lower suspension setup is great for handling and speed on dirt, gravel, or pavement. The durability that Traxxas is known for will keep the broken parts down to a minimum. The waterproof electronics keep everything working in the rain or snow, and with plenty of options for upgrading almost anything on the truck, there's no limit to how unique you can make your Rustler. While it does have a tougher time tackling the rougher terrain than its cousins, the Stampede and the Slash can handle, the Rustler will out-perform them on pretty much any smooth surface. All in all, the Rustler is still a great truck for any beginner.

The Rustler VXL is the speed demon of the Rustler family. The Velineon Brushless power system is efficient and fast! The truck is built to handle that power well; the lower suspension setup is great for handling and speed on dirt, gravel, or pavement (but not super great on grass). The Velineon system maintains that waterproof element, keeping everything working in the rain or snow. Since it's the same chassis as the basic Rustler, there are still plenty of options for upgrading almost anything on the truck, from shocks to suspension arms to cool-looking aluminum parts. Make the Rustler VXL the spectacle of your cul-de-sac!

The Stampede has always been a great seller. It has a high ground clearance for running in grass. It's waterproof, so an accidental (or intentional) splash won't hurt. And it has a great price point that makes it very beginner friendly, while still allowing for upgrades in the future. And Traxxas built the Stampede for bashing, though the Slash is slightly more durable. With tons of hop-ups and accessories available for the Stampede, everyone can find aftermarket parts to suit their needs (or desires). Bottom-line: if you're looking for a great beginner-friendly truck, the Stampede is the truck for you!

An alternative name for the Stampede VXL could be "The Wheelie Machine". With its short wheelbase, high center-of-gravity, and Velineon Brushless power system, the Stampede VXL is the only 2WD vehicle Traxxas makes that comes with a wheelie bar in the box, and it needs it. The Stampede VXL can conquer almost any terrain with its high ground clearance - almost 4"! The Stampede VXL is great for any R/C hobbist that craves speed and the ability to go anywhere. While the handling isn't as great as vehicles with a lower CG, the Stampede VXL powers through rough terrain as if it weren't there. A monster truck with insane speed? Yup, the Stampede VXL fits that description quite well.

The Traxxas Slash is an epic truck. That's truly the only way to describe it. It changed everything we thought we knew about the hobby. The Slash popularized waterproof electronics, it redefined durability... and hey, let's face it - the Slash ushered in the reign of short course trucks as the dominant vehicle style in R/C today. Hindsight being what it is, it's hard to be surprised. The Slash is a beast of truck. You imagination is your only limit with the Slash. This truck will be the benchmark for this generation of trucks, much like the RC10 and the Hornet in decades past. The first decade of the 21st century may belong to the T-Maxx, but this is the decade of the Slash. Long live the King!

There isn't much Traxxas could have done to make the Slash a better basher truck. Then they introduced the Slash VXL. All of the great aspects of the Slash coupled with the tremendous power and speed the Velineon Brushless power system results in the absolute pinnacle of 2WD basher vehicles. The Slash VXL is the most durable, efficient, and user-friendly 2WD truck we carry. You still have the largest selection of hop-ups we carry to choose from when upgrading. Add in a LiPo battery and really make these trucks fly! All that, combined with Traxxas' great customer support, pretty much makes the Slash VXL a sure bet for any backyard basher.
